Bookbinding Workshop

Learn to create and bind your own booklet from scratch for the Holiday season!

One of the first and earlier workshops that the Rapid Photo Studio had hosted in its studio portion of the space.

The Bookbinding Workshop focused on basic bookbinding techniques, for participants looking to create their own handmade notebook, sketchbook, or journal from scratch for themselves, or for the holiday gift giving season.

Guests are guided to design personalized covers, and guided through cutting, stitching, gluing, and assembling pages, resulting in a fully finished piece ready to take home!

The studio provided paper sheets, cutting mats, decor, and the needles and threads for everyone, and began with a 30-minute demonstration on the technique.

Afterwards, the participants were given the rest of the time to replicate and practice the technique on their own books.

Hosted by artist, Minh, or @_minhtopia on Instagram, a Vietnamese visual artist from Hanoi and in-house artist and curator at the Rapid Photo Studio. Her work is delicate and imaginative, exploring memory, personal growth, and quiet thoughtful moments.

Many of Minh’s works are also currently on display in the Rapid Photo store.
